These are photos from a fun weekend with our friends Brad Crockett and Renee Rappaport. Brad's home is near Kilmarnock in Virginia's Northern Neck off Crockett's Cove (my name for it) which runs into the Corrotoman River, Eastern Branch, which itself runs into the Rappahannock River. (See Map.)
Our visit coincided with the 50th anniversary of the annual Oyster Festival held in Urbanna, Virginia. (In 1988, the Urbanna Oyster Festival, first held in 1957, was designated as the "official" Oyster Festival of the Commonwealth of Virginia.)
While the afternoon was beautiful, the harsh afternoon sunlight meant many images were taken directly into the sun. This factor made picture taking difficult.
